Flylance is hiring a Senior Product Designer to design the member experience for a US health benefits technology platform. What you'll do

  • Plan, run and analyze user research, including interviews, surveys and usability studies, to understand user needs, behaviors and pain points
  • Turn research insights and business requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high fidelity UI designs
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, technical feasibility and business goals
  • Work in and follow the design system daily and contribute new components, patterns and improvements back to it, partnering with engineering to keep design and code in sync
  • Design accessible experiences that meet WCAG 2.2 AA and test work with accessibility tools and assistive technology before handoff
  • Use AI tools to speed up exploration, prototyping, research synthesis and design review, and critically evaluate their output
  • Use AI-assisted checks to catch design system and accessibility issues early
  • Create and maintain UI specifications and design documentation to keep design consistent and aid development

  • 5 or more years of UX design experience building products on web and mobile
  • Experience applying and evolving a design system, including contributing components or patterns
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and experience shipping accessible products
  • Experience using AI tools in the design workflow with sound judgment about where they help and where they don't
  • Experience with user testing tools and partnering with a UX research team to turn insights into actionable improvements
  • Ability to bring clarity to complex problem spaces using whiteboards, flowcharts, wireframes or other visual diagrams
  • Ability to explain design rationale, document decisions and deliver detailed specs engineers can build from
