- Design product blocks: layout, responsive behavior, states and composition rules
- Make blocks systematic: component architecture, tokens, naming and documentation

- Work inside and extend Flodesk's existing design system and curate it as the set grows

- Design page templates, section patterns and responsive rules
- Originate new layouts rather than only assembling from existing ones

- Articulated design judgment about conversion and usability and ability to explain and defend what makes pages and forms work or fail
- Production design system experience both building a system from scratch and inheriting one and improving it, including component architecture, tokens, naming, documentation, curation and adoption
- Deep experience in Figma: variables, tokens, component APIs, variants, modes and themes, and library architecture
- Working knowledge of current best practices across web design, digital products and templates: responsive standards, conversion patterns, accessibility basics, and clarity on template decisions
- AI fluency as a working practice, using Claude or equivalent daily and having a point of view on connecting AI to design workflows and designing systems that generate well
- Comfortable working under art direction while holding an independent craft standard: able to take direction, push back with reasoning, and deliver better than described
- Demonstrated collaboration with engineers and product teams as a day-to-day working partner, ideally where design output is consumed as structured data rather than visual reference
