LegalZoom is hiring a Senior Web Designer, Design Systems to create intuitive, scalable, high-performing marketing web experiences. This hands-on UX/UI role involves owning and evolving the marketing web design system and using AI across the design-to-implementation process. The hybrid position works remotely and on-site at Sherman Oaks, CA, Mountain View, CA, or Austin, TX offices.

What you'll do

  • Steward and evolve the marketing web design system from foundations and tokens through patterns and production components
  • Apply UX/UI design to simplify customer journeys and create commercially effective experiences
  • Maintain high standards for visual craft, typography, hierarchy, interaction, responsive design, and accessibility
  • Refactor legacy experiences, correct visual or structural drift, and avoid unnecessary one-offs
  • Champion UX/UI and design system standards through reviews, documentation, critique, and implementation support
  • Use AI throughout the UX/UI design process from exploration and prototyping through component creation, implementation, and QA
  • Move between Figma, AI-assisted code editors, and the component-based CMS to prototype and validate ideas, including prototyping directly in code with AI
  • Ship day-to-day web improvements and larger revamps of pages and site sections

What they're looking for

  • 5–8+ years of experience in UX/UI design for web marketing experiences with significant experience building or evolving design systems
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI thinking, visual design craft, and design system work
  • Hands-on experience using AI in the design process and established tools, workflows, and opinions about where AI improves work
  • Fluency in Figma and component-based UX/UI design with technical fluency for a code-first environment
  • Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools to prototype and build; code should not be a boundary
  • Strong knowledge of responsive UX/UI design, accessibility, design tokens, components, and prototyping
  • Component-driven CMS experience (such as Builder.io) is a strong plus
  • Experience designing conversion-oriented experiences where trust and clarity matter; legal, financial, healthcare, or similarly regulated categories are a plus
