Sr. Director - Design Tools & Systems

- Establish a clear vision for how design operates at scale across eBay, spanning systems, tooling, data and workflows
- Build a cohesive strategy across Design Systems, Design Tech, Customer Technology and Research Systems
- Lead the development of scalable design systems, shared services and internal platforms, and drive their adoption across product teams
- Invest in infrastructure that enables reuse, automation and intelligent workflows, including AI-assisted design and research

- 8+ years leading and scaling multidisciplinary teams, including senior leaders
- Proven track record of building platforms, systems or infrastructure that drive impact at scale
- Deep experience with design systems, design tooling and/or design engineering
- Strong understanding of UX research operations and systems and how insights integrate into product development
- Demonstrated ability to operate at executive level, influencing strategy, roadmaps and investment decisions
- Experience driving cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering and Data organizations, with strong systems thinking
- Experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows and outcomes, plus exceptional communication and storytelling skills
