- Assume ownership for components, patterns, and templates for product experiences and features across desktop, native mobile and more, ensuring they are scalable and accessible.
- Work closely with designers and engineers to design and implement high-quality, scalable additions to the design system, including components that support AI-powered features.
- Collaborate with designers to identify opportunities for unifying designs across products.
- Create and maintain documentation describing the standards and best practices of the component library as a reference for designers, developers, and product.
- Define and champion how AI-powered design tools are adopted across the team to accelerate component creation and documentation while maintaining design quality.
- Model behavior that exemplifies Amazon Leadership Principles and raise the design bar for the organization.
- Implement and maintain processes for scaling, updating, and managing various parts of a design system.
- Provide coaching and feedback, with an emphasis on growing junior Independent Contributors and leadership capability.
