- Own and evolve the design system that powers the suite of digital tax products
- Set and maintain standards for how components are built, named, documented, and used across the team
- Educate and support designers across the team on system usage and contribution
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and debt within the system and prioritize improvements
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure design system components translate accurately into code and maintain a tight feedback loop
- Partner with product designers, Product, and Visual Design to incorporate real-world feedback and align patterns with visual standards
- Serve as a critical partner in design system governance, bringing the design and craft perspective
- Design, build, and maintain a library of reusable components in Figma that are well-structured and thoroughly documented

- Deep Figma expertise in variables, tokens, component properties, auto-layout, and library management
- Solid understanding of how design systems translate into code; working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and component-based frameworks (React, etc.) is a meaningful plus
- Detail-obsessed about naming conventions, component states, edge cases, and consistency
