What you'll do

  • Own Famly's design system: components, patterns, and documentation
  • Build production-quality React and TypeScript components for the design system
  • Design component APIs that are hard to misuse and version them to avoid breaking product teams
  • Write documentation so components are self-serve for new engineers or AI agents
  • Keep the system trustworthy through tests, visual regression, and a release process
  • Learn Famly's frontend to know where patterns live, who depends on them, and what breaks if they change
  • Audit and evolve existing components for consistency, accessibility, and reuse
  • Own the code side of the design standard to preserve design intent in production

  • 5+ years of frontend experience in B2B SaaS, including design system work
  • Strong in React, TypeScript, and CSS
  • Taste for craft: spacing, motion, states, and details that make a component feel finished
  • Think in systems: reusable, documented, maintainable components over one-off fixes
  • Can go from a rough idea to a working prototype quickly
  • Own work end to end, from discovery through testing to shipping
  • Care about the difference between 'works' and 'is right' and set the direction
