Apply on AmazonThe Amazon Prime UX Design team is hiring an AI-fluent UX Designer to join the Design Systems team and drive the day-to-day evolution of the Prime Design Library (PDL). The role is a hands-on position focused on building and maintaining a component library to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across Prime customer experiences. The designer will partner with UX designers, front-end engineers, product teams, and a Design Technologist to translate design intent into reusable components and work at the intersection of design tooling, component architecture, and engineering collaboration.

- Build and maintain design systems and a shared library of reusable components used by product teams
- Evolve the Prime Design Library (PDL) with component creation, maintenance, documentation, and quality standards
- Align builds to a machine-readable contract and maintain production-readiness in partnership with engineering
- Review other designers’ work for PDL and semantic compliance
- Advocate for system thinking and AI scalability across the organization
- Run synchronization cadences with partner teams and guide worldwide Prime UX designers on design system usage
- Partner with Engineering teams, along with the Design Technologist, as the design point of contact for component implementations
- Build and iterate on design tooling (plugins, linters) and support exploration of agentic design workflows

- 3+ years of design experience
- Online portfolio or samples of work on resume demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns across desktop and mobile
- Experience presenting complex technical information clearly and concisely in written and verbal form to executives and non-technical leaders
- AI fluent with proficiency in AI design tools, including advanced features such as variants, auto-layout, component properties, and design tokens
- Experience creating, organizing, and documenting reusable design components for multi-product or multi-platform use
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility standards, and platform conventions
