NewSenior Design Technologist
Apply on SeekSEEK is hiring a Senior Design Technologist to bring its design system to life through high-impact prototypes, tools and implementation patterns that support the marketplace and apps. The role reports to the Design System Lead, is an individual contributor with no direct reports, and involves mentoring other practitioners and working closely with design and engineering partners. The Senior Design Technologist will build interactive, high-fidelity prototypes using real data and system components, experiment with AI-supported workflows, and partner with UX Research, product and engineering stakeholders.

- Own and deliver complex tooling, prototyping and design-system implementation projects that improve how teams design, test and ship on-system experiences
- Design and build high-fidelity prototypes for web and app using real data, interaction patterns and system components
- Partner with Design System and engineering teams to refine and extend components, patterns and tokens aligned with interaction, motion, responsiveness and accessibility standards
- Build and support internal tools, plugins, scripts and automation that connect Figma to code, streamline handoff and reduce repeat work
- Experiment with and implement AI-supported workflows to help teams generate and iterate on system-aligned interfaces efficiently and responsibly
- Coach other designers and technologists in prototyping, front-end implementation and design-system usage, and contribute to internal documentation and practice forums
- Define and evolve practices, templates and documentation to make it easier to go from concept to implementation while staying on-system

- 5+ years of experience in design technology, UX engineering, front-end engineering or a related discipline, with a track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives
- Strong hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript and HTML/CSS, as well as design tokens and component-based design systems
- Proven experience building interactive, high-fidelity prototypes that help teams explore ideas, validate concepts and reduce delivery risk
- Experience creating or extending internal tools, Figma plugins, scripts or automation that improve design and engineering workflows
- Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive design and performance, and how to embed these principles in components, prototypes and tooling
- Demonstrated interest in emerging tools and technologies, including AI and LLMs, with an understanding of responsible application in product design and development
