NewDesign System Lead H/F
Apply on NEXTONNEXTON, founded in 2011 with a team of more than 450 experts, recruits a Design System Lead (H/F) in CDI based in Paris. The role places you within the Design teams of a large-account client to own the strategy, evolution and adoption of a Design System across a complex, multi-product B2B environment. The position involves governance, coordination with product and tech teams, and improving Design Ops, documentation and processes.
What you'll do
- Define and carry the Design System vision and ensure alignment with product, business and technical objectives; structure governance, principles and contribution rules
- Identify needs of different teams, arbitrate priorities and manage the Design System roadmap; evolve the system for scalability, mutualisation and cross-product/platform coherence
- Act as a reference for the Design System, facilitate daily adoption, and support designers and developers in its use with pragmatic interventions
- Facilitate collaboration between designers, developers, Product Managers and technical stakeholders to align design and implementation while considering technical and operational constraints
- Structure processes, methods and rituals around the Design System to improve team efficiency; identify pain points and implement best practices
- Ensure visual, functional and accessible coherence of digital experiences; verify correct use of components, patterns and standards and participate in design reviews
- Structure, enrich and maintain Design System documentation and promote knowledge sharing to raise Design System maturity
- Measure adoption and impact via relevant indicators and team feedback; identify improvement areas and evolve the system, processes and practices

- Significant experience managing, structuring or leading a Design System within complex digital environments
- Experience working with Design, Product and Development teams and understanding scalability, coherence and adoption challenges of a Design System
- Mastery of Design System principles, Design Ops and governance and ability to establish processes for maintenance, evolution and adoption
- Excellent knowledge of design tools such as Figma and their component libraries
- Knowledge of variables, design tokens or multi-platform systems is a plus
- Understanding of front-end integration (HTML, CSS, modern frameworks) and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams about implementation constraints
- Awareness of accessibility standards and UX/UI best practices
- Experience with mobile or multi-platform Design Systems is appreciated
