- Lead efforts to ensure components meet Hawkins quality standards, including accessibility, motion, and theming
- Own machine-readable system knowledge such as component documentation, usage rules, accessibility, tokens, and patterns
- Partner with engineering to translate design guidance into structured logic for AI agents and tools
- Define, document, and evolve core design system primitives and component APIs
- Partner on AI-assisted design tooling that recommends components, generates system-compliant layouts and tokens, and automates design QA
- Partner with engineers to integrate automated refactoring, migration, and system-aware copilot tools into developer workflows
- Develop design testing frameworks and guardrails for human- and AI-generated system usage
- Expose the system through component APIs, schemas, and LLM-optimized knowledge bases
