NewDesign Producer - Enterprise Design System
Apply on MtbM&T Bank is hiring a Design Producer to support the Enterprise Design System team in maturing how the team plans, executes, and continuously improves delivery. The role supports a cross-functional team spanning technology, design, content, and research and focuses on enabling effective team practices, clear work intake and requirements, purposeful working sessions, and tracking meaningful metrics and analytics. Location: Buffalo, New York, United States of America.
What you'll do
- Assess, support, and continuously improve the team’s delivery processes and day-to-day workflows to reduce friction and improve predictability
- Facilitate and evolve team operating rhythms (planning, refinement, reviews, demos, retrospectives, and other working sessions) with clear purpose, agendas, decisions, and follow-through
- Define, document, and reinforce lightweight standards for how the team works to create clarity and consistency
- Surface impediments, identify operational gaps or risks early, and partner with leaders and peers to escalate and resolve them
- Establish, maintain, and improve work intake processes across request types (bugs, feature requests, new components, system maintenance) to ensure consistent routing, acknowledgement, and capture
- Support initial analysis of incoming work by identifying gaps, dependencies, missing requirements, and readiness concerns
- Partner with product, design, and engineering to improve requirements quality and readiness hygiene, including acceptance criteria, ownership, and dependencies
- Facilitate lightweight triage, prioritization, and sequencing conversations by preparing inputs and documenting outcomes

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
- Demonstrated facilitation skills for planning, refinement, review, retrospective, or similar working sessions, including agenda setting and documentation of outcomes
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous work by organizing inputs, coordinating across partners, identifying gaps, and following through on commitments
- Experience creating or maintaining process documentation, team standards, or operational guidance
- Comfort with delivery and team health metrics and ability to turn them into simple, actionable insights
- Experience improving team operating rhythms, work intake practices, and requirements readiness
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery approaches and ability to adapt practices to fit team context
- Ability to proactively identify risks, blockers, and process gaps and escalate or address them with appropriate support
