The company is hiring a Product Design Lead - Design System to think at a system level, create a scalable UI ecosystem across multiple products, teams, and platforms, and take full ownership of component libraries, interaction models, and cross-platform design consistency while bridging design and engineering to ensure reusable, accessible production code.
What you'll do
- Maintain high standards for layout, typography, colour, spacing, visual hierarchy, and overall digital finish across reusable elements
- Design, build, and maintain robust component libraries (buttons, inputs, cards, navigation, forms, tables, etc.) that scale across products
- Define interactive behaviours and state transitions (hover, focus, disabled, loading, mobile behaviours) for intuitive component interactions
- Structure and maintain design tokens (colours, spacing, typography, border-radius, shadows) to drive consistency between design and code
- Organize complex variants, properties, and components within Figma to empower other product designers
- Partner closely with engineering teams to navigate technical constraints across Web, React, Flutter, Android, and iOS/Native environments
- Create clear, comprehensive usage guidelines and documentation outlining when, why, and how components should and should not be used

- Portfolio demonstrating systems-thinking: how design decisions impact multiple products and scale sustainably
- Familiarity with how developers inspect, build, and consume components in code repositories
- Advanced knowledge of Figma libraries, auto-layout, components, variants, variables, and library publication
- Solid grasp of accessibility standards (WCAG), contrast requirements, and inclusive design principles
- Familiarity with component-driven frameworks (React, Flutter) and Atomic Design methodology
- Excellent writing and presentation skills to translate design system choices into executive-level updates and technical guidelines
