Kesko is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join a newly founded design systems team responsible for building and maintaining Kesko’s design and frontend infrastructure. The role involves working with product teams and Arielle to design and develop building blocks for Kesko’s products, maintain Kesko’s Figma Toolkit, and support users of the design system. The frontend stack is based on web standards, with components written in JavaScript, HTML and CSS and shipped as standards-based custom elements.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary owner of Kesko’s Figma Toolkit, including defining and standardizing reusable design components
  • Help develop and maintain Kesko’s frontend tooling and design system infrastructure
  • Collaborate with product, design and engineering to create design components that evolve and improve the design system
  • Advocate for accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
  • Help teams across Kesko onboard the design system and support its users
  • Write clear and detailed documentation for multiple audiences
  • Help maintain a culture of empathy, safety and belonging where all voices are heard
  • Talk to the system’s users
