- Drive end-to-end design across GitLab's AI suite, from early exploration to polished execution, creating flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs and deciding when AI is the appropriate solution.
- Break complex AI experiences into releases that fit GitLab's cadence, define success criteria upfront, use evidence to drive decisions, and work closely with PM, Engineering, and Technical Writing to deliver work.
- Set and raise quality standards through strong visual and interaction design and provide constructive feedback.
- Bring validated user evidence and a strong point of view to roadmap discussions; use journey maps, storyboards, and design explorations to connect short-term work to longer-term vision.
- Help designers across the product apply AI capabilities, contribute AI-specific patterns to the Pajamas Design System, and share knowledge to raise AI design quality across GitLab.
- Mentor and guide other designers, participate in hiring by interviewing candidates and evaluating portfolios.

- Experience designing in complex enterprise contexts, with working knowledge of Git, HTML/CSS, accessibility best practices, and design systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including simplifying complexity and articulating design rationale clearly.
