The Vice President, Product Lead, Design System and Accessibility reports to the UXD Design Leader of Digital Channels and provides strategic leadership for Fidelity’s design system (FDS) and accessibility program within the UX organization. The role leads a team of product managers, engineers, business analysts and design specialists to deliver assets and services for internal Fidelity product teams and is responsible for shaping the vision, product strategy, and deployment of these programs to deliver cost savings, speed to market, and high-quality experiences. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

What you'll do

  • Lead team of product managers and individual contributors with Engineering to deliver re-usable assets, standards, accessibility tools, and support services for Web, iOS, and Android product teams.
  • Develop quarterly and annual roadmaps, prioritizing new features and capabilities based on user data and feedback and making trade-offs to meet product team needs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance during product plan execution, removing barriers and ensuring support and transparency.
  • Work with analysts and Finance to measure usage, impact, and value of the FDS and accessibility programs and identify opportunities to improve speed to market, maintenance costs, and quality of user experiences.
  • Ensure clear enterprise-wide communication on program goals, activities, capabilities, requirements, and expectations for product teams using FDS and accessibility tools.
  • Communicate progress, needs, and strategic direction to executive leadership to convey program goals and impact.
  • Operate as a senior leader within the broader User Experience organization to help evolve UX Design, Research, and Design Strategy practices.

  • 15 plus years of experience in a design or related product role with demonstrated experience leading a team of designers and/or product managers
  • Product management experience driving prioritization of features, coordination of releases, management of trade-offs, and collaboration with consumers to ensure critical needs are met.
  • Strong understanding of the value and impact of design systems, their interworking parts, and interdependence with the product design and build process.
  • Passion for building inclusive, accessible experiences that ensure all customers can use our tools and achieve their goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing teams through coaching, talent development, and workforce planning.
  • Strong understanding of digital product development, technology architecture, and modern design system practices.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with senior leaders to influence decisions, navigate complexity, and achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Collaborative and solution-oriented leadership approach, described with intellectual humility, resilience, and optimism.
