Product Designer, Design Systems

What you'll do
- Own Arcade components end-to-end from Figma source of truth through token architecture to production
- Define and maintain the token system for color, spacing, elevation, and typography
- Make architectural decisions about naming, hierarchy, and semantic structure for tokens across themes and modes
- Drive Figma library governance, including versioning, contribution models, and release cadence
- Collaborate with engineers on component APIs, prop contracts, and migration paths
- Turn recurring questions into documentation or patterns
- Propose unified patterns when multiple teams solve the same problem differently
- Mentor L1-L3 designers on systems thinking through workshops, education sessions, and structured critique
What they're looking for
- 5-8 years of product design experience
- Significant experience in design systems, component libraries, or platform/infrastructure design
- Expert Figma skills, including advanced component architecture, variants, variables, and library management at scale
- Comfort with design tokens, CSS custom properties, and component APIs such as React or equivalent
- Ability to review a prop contract as naturally as a Figma frame
- Deep understanding of token architecture, including hierarchies, naming conventions, and semantic structures across themes, modes, and platforms
- Experience working embedded with engineering on component migration, API design, or design-to-code pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to own outcomes, such as driving a migration, moving an adoption metric, or resolving a systemic problem permanently
