Manager (IC), Product Design - Design Systems
Apply on Capital OneCapital One is hiring a Product Designer for Design Systems on its Premium Products and Travel Design team, working across portfolios at the intersection of system logic, human-centered design and front-end engineering. The posting is explicit that this is not a Figma-only systems role: the designer owns the full component lifecycle from tokenization in Figma through to production-ready code, collaborating inside the repo with engineering. A second focus is governing AI-generated interfaces, moving from asset creator to experience auditor, logic planner and automation coach by defining the rules, data schemas and guardrails that keep automated output coherent. Salary differs by location: New York $179,700 to $205,100, McLean VA $164,800 to $188,100, Richmond VA $149,800 to $171,000. No visa sponsorship for this position.

- Map disparate data schemas into structurally sound user flows and design component interactions optimized for both human users and automated AI agents
