Apply on BEES

BEES, AB InBev’s B2B platform operating across 29 countries, is hiring a Senior Product Designer, Design Systems to create, evolve, and maintain Hexa, the company’s global design system for mobile and web. The role sits at the intersection of design, design operations, and front-end implementation, working in Figma to define components, write specs, and keep design and engineering libraries aligned. The person will work with designers and engineers in an agile setup and have influence on roadmap, governance, and the use of AI for design systems delivery.

✦ AI skillsThis role asks for AI & agentic skills, exactly what we teach at Into Design Systems

What you'll do

  • Lead discovery, design, and iteration on components, patterns, and foundations (tokens, typography, icons) and keep libraries aligned as the system grows.
  • Write clear component specs including states, variants, accessibility, and content rules; keep Figma libraries in sync with shipped engineering libraries.
  • Act as a go-to design contact through office hours, unblocking work, aligning on APIs and props, checking build quality, and supporting component PRs and releases.
  • Improve centralized documentation and take part in enablement such as Hexa Connect-style workshops and engineering updates so teams use the system correctly.
  • Help define and use KPIs and dashboards for library usage, quality, and consistency and use that data to prioritize the backlog and close gaps between design and development.
  • Advise product squads on Hexa-aligned solutions, coordinate system updates with large initiatives, and balance platform consistency with squad deadlines.
  • Apply AI tools such as Cursor and Figma MCP to speed specs, audits, prototypes, and internal tooling, and help mature agentic workflows for component work where they add lasting value.
  • Work with product, engineering, and design leadership on roadmap and governance; run critiques and working sessions when teams need to align.

What they're looking for

  • Shipped and maintained a multi-platform design system (components, tokens, documentation, versioning) in a product organization at scale.
  • Comfortable reading front-end code (for example React, TypeScript, CSS or Tailwind, and component props) and able to discuss tradeoffs with engineering and contribute meaningfully to PR reviews.
  • Expert Figma skills including variables and tokens, component properties, variants, auto-layout, and libraries, and able to produce specs engineers can implement without guesswork.
  • Clear communication in English to explain system decisions, migration impact, and adoption plans to designers, engineers, and leadership.
  • Experience partnering with platform or foundation teams and product squads using iteration and both qualitative and quantitative feedback.
  • Ability to set direction and ship precise component updates on a quarterly cadence.
  • Practical, day-to-day use of AI for repeatable work such as specs, docs, audits, and prototypes.
  • Comfort working on components, support, documentation, and metrics in parallel while keeping quality high.
