- Design and evolve the system from foundations (colour, type, spacing, icons, tokens, theming) to components such as menus, dialogs, sidebars and the chat composer.
- Design the expressive layer as a system (motion, illustration and icons) rather than one-offs, ensuring brand and system consistency.
- Make the system legible to Claude as well as people by providing guidance, metadata and evals that show whether Claude uses it correctly.
- Partner with product teams to help designers and engineers apply the system and feed recurring gaps back into the system.
- Prototype in code and ship changes in the design-system package alongside engineers, using Claude Code in your own practice.
