This role is a builder position where design, operations and AI meet: you will scope where AI and automation can help, turn ideas into tools the community uses, and improve rituals and best practices. The role is based in or within commuting distance of one of Alan's hubs (Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid or Barcelona) and requires the ability to work onsite twice per week.

- Test new AI tools and automations, identify those that save time or improve quality, and share findings with the community; collaborate with internal AI tooling teams to bring what’s cutting edge to design and research
- Create skills, agents and automated checks to make design and research work more efficient, reliable and of higher quality
- Maintain and upgrade the tools the community relies on and act as point of contact with Alan’s platform and agentic teams
- Introduce and improve practices and rituals, advance existing rituals, and share learnings inside and outside Alan
- Own the roadmap: identify opportunities, prioritize solutions, set goals, track adoption and quality, and iterate
What they're looking for
- Around 4 years of experience in ops or enablement roles (design ops, tooling, automation, analytics, program management or similar)
- Hands-on experience automating work and replacing repetitive tasks with automations, internal tools or AI workflows (no-code, low-code or AI tools), and able to describe what was built and who used it
- Familiarity with AI tools, including building or testing skills, agents or automations, with attention to reliability
- Comfort working with engineers: able to build things, know when to ask for production-grade work, and communicate in their language
- Experience supporting a team or community (onboarding, rituals, events or internal communications)
- Strong English communication; French is a plus
- Nice to have: experience in or alongside a design or research team
- Nice to have: familiarity with Figma and design systems
