Lease Seven is a web-based application that digitalizes leasing contract conclusion and other leasing process steps; since Go-Live it has processed over half a billion euros in leasing volume. The company is hiring a working student in UX/UI Design to transfer a new Design Library onto existing Lease Seven screens, question existing solutions, and conceptually revise screens where appropriate. The role involves building reusable Figma components and creating product guidelines, and you will join a small UX team that will onboard and guide you. The position offers hybrid work with an office in Cologne and flexible hours aligned with your studies.

What you'll do

  • Transfer existing screens into the new Design Library and develop them user-centered
  • Question existing solutions, identify weaknesses and conceptually revise screens where appropriate
  • Build domain-specific components in Figma as reusable building blocks for typical leasing use cases such as contract overviews, calculations or approval processes
  • Create product guidelines that document when and how components and patterns are used
  • Work closely with UX, Product Management and development and contribute your perspective in coordination

What they're looking for

  • Enrolled student, ideally in a design-related degree such as Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Communication Design, Media Design or Digital Media Design, alternatively in Media Computer Science or Human-Computer Interaction with a design focus
  • Initial experience with Figma (components, variants and Auto Layout are familiar)
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of user-centered design and ability to justify design decisions
  • Good eye for consistency, details and clear information structures
  • Work in a structured way and question existing solutions rather than simply adopt them
  • Confident communication in German and English, both spoken and written
  • Nice to have: experience with Design Systems or component libraries
  • Nice to have: exposure to leasing, financing or complex B2B specialist applications
